My Favorite: Blood and Chocolate

Who wants to pick a mate from a group you used to share a bathtub with?
Favorite book of all times—Blood and Chocolate by Annette Klause.
Don’t look too far into—I just have a natural obsession for werewolves, witches, and other supernatural likes. The thing that attracted me most to this story, other than the obvious paranormal, was the realistic, coming-of-age feel that Klause crafted throughout the entire story.
Though very mature for her age (16), Vivian was, undoubtedly portrayed accurately as a buck- against authority teenager. She possessed the looks and confidence, but allowed doubt to seep into her mind at times. She believed that she had the world figured out (as do we all at this stage in life), and thought of herself as the ruler of her own universe. Not to mention her disdain for the Pack, whom she had grown up with.
Who wants to pick a mate from a group you used to share a bathtub with?
Added to the fanatical unpredictability of Vivian’s mother, the deliberate advances from Gabriel, and the incessant bickering amongst what was left of the pack, the action and whimsical delight continues from page to page in this read.

The movie, I must admit, was a disappointment, though not as horrible as it could have been. Maybe it was just my own imagination running awry as I read the book. Oh well. Everyone’s perceptions are different.
