Ignorance is an obstacle, but there are ways to kick the shyt out of it

It’s funny, I constantly run into people who talk “the environment is fine, it always has and always will fix itself” rhetoric, and it’s flat out… fukin stupidity! The world always has fixed itself, sure… when humans weren’t destroying the ecosystems and habitats around the world at such a rapid pace!

Don’t be a moron, when the rate of human destruction was at “1″ unit per year, but the Earth was keeping pace at a natural restoration rate of “2″ units per year, YES everything was just fine. Has it not occured to people that today’s rate of human destruciton is somewhere around a level of “5-6″ units per year? Is it just me, or was the Industrial Revolution a relatively NEW occurance in the grand scheme of the human existance.

Ignorance is an obstacle, but there are ways to kick the shyt out of it.

One group that is leading the fight is Greenpeace.

Their core values are:

If the world was coming to an end tomorrow, because of global environmental catostrophe, would you have the balls enough to admit that YOU played a role in the entire conclusion?

Seriously, what are you DOING to make a difference on a regular basis? All the yakkity yack, complaining about the environment ain’t gonna actually change anything. Why not start being accountable for your own actions. It’s just a thought.
